LEXINGTON COUNTY MILITARY FAMILY OF THE NIGHT

Send completed Nomination Forms to at firstname.lastname@example.org
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC – With a long tradition of honoring Military Heroes at games, Blowfish Baseball will continue this tradition by honoring local Lexington County military families at all 30 Blowfish Baseball home games again during the 2017 season.
Friends of Military Families LLC, a non-profit that focuses on fulfilling military families’ needs, has partnered with the Lexington County Blowfish Baseball Club to create a memory of a lifetime by providing our “Wrigley Field Style” field level box seats, hot dogs, and ice cold Coca-Colas at each of the 30 Blowfish home games for those who have a family member that is currently serving or who has served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
In addition to tickets, food and drink, the local military family of the night will be throwing out a ceremonial first pitch in honor of their loved one serving in the military, and will be recognized between an inning during the game for their family’s sacrifice. Blowfish owner Bill Shanahan stated, “Our service men and women protect our freedom each and every day-and we would like to show our gratitude and thanks to the family members.”
Below are a few of the wonderful comments from local military families about their experience at last season’s Blowfish games…..
I wanted to pass along the sweetest messages of appreciation from the 2 soldiers you recognized on Wednesday night. Thank you all for making this happen for these military families! We appreciate your support!!
First, SFC Charles Boone called Thursday morning to say what an amazing time he, his wife and his son had at the game. SFC Boone said you all treated him like royalty, and that his son was SO thrilled with the baseball you all gave him, he slept with it under his pillow.
Below is an email I received this morning from LTC Allen, the commanding officer of SSG Rosario.
I am not sure if I wrote back to you yesterday, but thank you so much for the photo and more importantly for the opportunity for SSG Rosario and his family to participate on Wednesday. He was standing on the parade field Thursday morning, and he was smiling from ear to ear telling me about the experience. Thank you to the Blowfish team and thanks to your team for making this possible!
