Building our Bullpen for 2019-The Lexington County Blowfish are excited to announce the hiring of our new pitching coach, Shawn Torbett. Coach Torbett has over 20 years of coaching experience in high schools across the midlands, including Lexington High, Brookland-Cayce High School, A.C. James McConnon, a Junior catcher at St. Joe's University has also signed for the 2019 season. Houston Wright, originally from Gaffney, is currently playing at Spartanburg Methodist College. Did you know?Lexington County Baseball Stadium has four dimensions modeled after MLB stadiums. And TWO of those are represented in this year's World Series. The Right Field Foul Pole at 302 is modeled after Boston's Fenway Park. And Homeplate to the backstop is 55 feet, which is the dimension at Dodger Stadium in LA. (The other two dimensions are modeled after Yankee Stadium and Wrigley Field; 318 in left field and 394 in center field.)
